Merit-cum-Means Scholarship conducts Ministry of Minority Affairs for the year 2016-17
Merit-cum Means based Scholarship Scheme (MCM) is a Central Sector Scheme from 2014-15 with 100% Central funding. Under the scheme, Scholarships are awarded to the meritorious students from notified minority communities viz. Muslims, Christians. Sikhs, Buddhists, Zoroastrians (Parsis) and Jains, pursuing professional and technical courses, at under-graduate and post-graduate levels in Institutions recognized by the appropriate authority. who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination and the annual income of whose parents/guardian, from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh.
The Community-wise Physical allocation are enclosed for Fresh Scholarship in respect of your State /UT under the Scheme of Merit-cum Means based Scholarship along with Timeline for the financial year 2016-17. As far as, Renewals of Scholarships are concerned, there is no target for them.

Submission of Online applications for Fresh/Renewal scholarship by students / 15th July to 31st October, 2016
The timeline for further action by States for verification etc. arc being finalized and will be intimated shortly. The States can however go ahead with verification etc in order to complete the same as soon as possible
